Fraternal Order of Eagles - Continue Support for APMC

The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) is an international fraternal organization whose mission is to: Unite fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and by promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) is an international fraternal organization whose mission is to: Unite fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and by promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.

Worldwide, there are more than 1,700 chapters or “aeries” within the FOE. Each aerie is dedicated to making the world a better place and to demonstrate that commitment, the FOE regularly raises philanthropic funds and donates more than $100 million annually.

Florida is home to 87 aeries. In 2014 and 2015, Arnold Palmer Medical Center was selected by Florida leaders to be the statewide charity of the year for Florida Eagles. In 2013-2014, State Worthy President John Brancaccio and State Madam President Donna Delashmet selected Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children as their designated charity. A year later, State Worthy President Bill Whitten and State Madam President Jeanette Puthoff selected Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.

Just as Donna and John had generated almost $200,000 in support in 2014, Jeannette and Bill generated more than $210,000 in support of our babies in the most recent year. Together, the Florida Fraternal Order of Eagles have given almost one million dollars to support the mission of Orlando Health since their first gift in 1994.

In addition to support for Arnold Palmer Medical Center, FOE members have supported research in cancer, cardiovascular disease and other important areas of medical research.

As Dr. Anthony Orsini, neonatologist at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, said in accepting major support for Winnie Palmer Hospital at the statewide convention this past June, “We are blessed beyond measure with the generosity and caring demonstrated by members of every aerie in Florida as they are saving the lives of our tiniest babies. We are deeply grateful for your support.”
